Clarinet & Saxophone

Clarinet and saxophone lessons are taught at his studio in central Chertsey. Lessons are available at all levels from complete beginners up to Grade 8 and beyond for children and adults.

Stephen studied clarinet firstly with Richard Percy (EPO, Hallé), then with John Reynolds (Kent Opera, RWCMD) in Hertfordshire and then with Michael Saxton (CBSO, BBC National Orchestra of Wales) at University College Cardiff.

Stephen can also offer advice and assistance on the purchase and restoration of instruments and undertake some repairs. Beginners should generally seek advice before purchasing an instrument.

Not all students are interested in taking exams, but Steve has an excellent record of results for those who choose to do so.
